At Chariot, we are dedicated to dismantling discrimination and removing accessibility barriers. Our mission is to bridge the gap between civil rights advocacy and institutional compliance.

Our story

I was inspired to create Chariot Civil Rights and Accessibility Compliance Consulting as someone living with mobility-related and other disabilities after repeatedly encountering and navigating real-world accessibility barriers firsthand. I have witnessed how often individuals are forced to push for basic access and advocate for themselves in situations where equal treatment should already be in place.

At the same time, I recognized that many businesses and property owners remain out of compliance, whether due to lack of awareness, poor oversight, or disregard for real-world accessibility. That disconnect made it clear there was a need for someone who understands both the lived experience and the legal standards.

This business was created to drive the charge against discrimination while closing the gap between real-world accessibility barriers and legal compliance.

The name “Chariot” represents forward movement, resilience, and the determination to overcome obstacles. Inspired by the Chariot card in the Rider-Waite Tarot Deck, it reflects willpower, direction, and the ability to move forward despite resistance. In spaces where barriers, inaccessibility, and discrimination too often stand in the way, Chariot stands for progress, accountability, and meaningful change. This work is rooted in real experience and a clear goal: to remove barriers, create access, and move individuals and organizations forward. Where barriers and discrimination create stagnation, Chariot is about creating momentum, restoring access, and driving real progress.
